The Purpose of Rock Youth Group:

The purpose of Rock Youth Group is to disciple teenagers, foster spiritual and personal growth, and build meaningful peer and adult relationships, create a safe community of belonging and equip teenagers to serve others. It provides a tailored environment where adolescents can learn biblical teachings, ask challenging questions about faith, and transition from childhood faith into active, adult members of the church.
 
Core Goals

• Spiritual Discipleship: Help teens understand religious teachings, study scripture, and develop a personal prayer life and how to apply religious values to everyday life. Provide a safe space to wrestle with doubts and explore complex moral or theological topics.
• Community and Fellowship: Offering a safe, welcoming place to form positive friendships with peers who share similar values that fight loneliness and isolation.
• Mentorship: Connecting youth with mature adult leaders who provide guidance, support, and a listening ear during a critical developmental stage. Supporting and reinforcing the values taught by parents at home.
• Integration: Bridging the gap between children’s ministries and the main adult congregation so teens remain connected to the broader church body.

• Outreach: Encouraging students to share their faith and invite non-believing friends into the community. Engage in local community outreach, missions, and volunteer projects. Empower youth to take active roles within their groups and broader communities. Prevent isolation by connecting teens to the wider community rather than keeping them in a separate bubble!

 
Rock Youth Meeting Times:
 

• Wednesdays from 5:30 to 8:30 pm
• Sundays from 5-8 pm

 
What to expect:
A typical meeting starts with a sit-down, family-style dinner. We then follow with a group game. After that we have a group lesson. A light snack with fellowship to end evening.
 
Special Events:
            Dedicated events throughout the year include things such as youth retreats, mission trips, fundraisers, etc.
