Cabot Church Food Bank 

Cabot Church has a wonderful Food Bank, run by a group of dedicated, kind, and welcoming volunteers. The volunteers take inventory, assess the needs, order, sort, and distribute the food each month to community members.

If you live in the area and are in need of assistance, please contact us. For more information about the Cabot Food Bank, please call the church office.

 Food distribution is on the third Wednesday of every month. We have 2 time slots: 10:00 am – 12:00 pm and 4:00 – 6:00 pm.

Help Grow Our Food Bank Family!

Our church food bank serves many families in our community with free distributions of good food to those who can benefit from it. We offer fresh produce, frozen meats, milk, eggs, and canned and boxed goods. We constantly hear what a blessing this is for those who receive food.
We are looking for more people who would like to serve on this team and be part of this essential community ministry. So, what is this all about? Currently we are specifically looking for helpers to pack bags on the 3rd Monday night of each month following the morning food bank truck delivery, and we also need people on Wednesday evenings during the second distribution. Help at other times would also be greatly appreciated, but these two times are currently in greater need. This ministry is much bigger than the areas just mentioned, and there are many ways you are welcome to serve.
Food Bank work includes sorting, packing, lifting, and loading in an often fast-paced environment. You’ll work alongside others in a friendly service-based setting, while experiencing the satisfaction of meeting basic needs in the community.
As a church, God has given each of us special gifts. If your gift is in helping or serving, check us out. Come see what we’re all about. Maybe this is the area God wants you to step into. Our food bank family would be happy to provide you with more information.
In general, the Food Bank distributes items on the 3rd Wednesday of each month, 10:00 am – 12:00 pm and 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm. The delivery truck comes the Monday morning before the distribution, and the packing time happens that Monday evening beginning at 5:30 pm.
