Reading the Book of Mark Together: Through the season of Lent, we will be studying Mark’s Gospel in our weekend services. Take this chance to read along and spend time daily in God’s Word. We will journey with Jesus toward the cross as we read 15-20 verses a day for 32 days. The group plan begins Monday, Feb. 23rd, but you may start at a different time if you prefer.  Visit https://bit.ly/MarkBiblePlan2026, or search for “Questions for Mark” from InterVarsity Urbana on the Bible app. To hear from God most clearly, engage with the questions as you read, and use a journal to write down your thoughts and what you hear. Let’s invite God to speak to us as we study his Word together!

Nursery Help:  Our Children’s Ministry continues to grow! We are now offering nursery care every week during the Sunday 10:30 service, and we are looking for people who are willing to serve. The nursery ministry allows parents the opportunity to fill their cup with God’s Word, while their young children and infants get to experience God’s love through the church’s care. Interested in helping? Sign up in the Welcome Center, contact the office or Missy Plyler ([email protected]). Clearances and training are required.

Fish Fry Sign Up:  We are serving our community meals every Friday from 4:00-7:00 pm through March 27th. There are many ways you can help us connect with the community around us through this. If you bake, you can bring desserts Thursday 9am-1pm or Friday 1-4pm.  Set up and prep is Thursday nights at 6pm in the multipurpose room and kitchen. Then Friday, work starts at 1pm. You can also help during the mealtime, which starts at 4pm.  Even if you show up at 7pm Friday, that is a huge help with cleanup! It is great to have some people who are fresh to do that work. Thank you for making these dinners a reality!

Ministry Fair:  Join us after our worship services for a few minutes the weekend of March 7-8 for our Ministry Fair held both Saturday and Sunday! This is a chance for you to learn more about the ministries of the church and find ways to plug in and serve, all while enjoying refreshments. Many of our ministry leaders will be there to answer your questions or to help figure out how you can best use your skills. God gives each of us, his people, spiritual gifts to be used for the growth of his Kingdom. This fair is a chance for us to put that into practice. Our many ministries are making an impact for the Kingdom, and you can help that happen, whether you are a member of Cabot Church or not. We are serving God in our church and in our community by meeting practical and spiritual needs, and you can make a difference! Saturday, March 7th @ 7pm or Sunday, March 8th @ 11:30 am Childcare is available both days for kids of all ages!

Youth meals:   If you are interested in helping with the youth but are not sure how, here is a fantastic way. We cook dinner for 8-12 people twice a week (Sundays and Wednesdays), and we would love the opportunity to have someone else cook for us, eat dinner with us, and spend time with us. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet our youth as well. There are no dietary restrictions and unbelievably, none of them are picky eaters. They would love to see some fresh faces and interesting dishes as well. If you are interested, please contact Paula Duke ([email protected]).


Good Friday Women’s Breakfast: Please be praying for a good spiritual connection during the Women’s and Children’s Breakfast we are putting together for Good Friday. Our own Becky Callender will bring the message. Please consider bringing a casserole to share with the whole community as we join together with other churches to remember this holy day.

Youth & Children's Choir Rehearsals: Our youth and children will sing a special song on Palm Sunday, March 29th. All those older than 6 will meet to rehearse on Fridays now through Mar. 27th, 6:00-7:00pm in Room 14 (use West Wing entrance). Children 5 and under will continue rehearsing at home and in Sunday School, and they will join the others for a combined rehearsal closer to the day. Contact Missy Plyler with questions ([email protected]).

Program Ministry Director – Part-Time (10 hours/week):  Cabot Church is seeking a dedicated and relational leader to serve as our Program Ministry Director. This part‑time role focuses on recruiting, training, equipping, and developing members of our congregation to support both new and ongoing ministries. The ideal candidate will excel in organizing, leading volunteers, and communicating effectively across various ministries. Strong skills in leadership, teamwork, and clear communication are essential. We warmly encourage applicants who are already part of Cabot Church or who desire to make Cabot Church their spiritual home. Administrative Assistant – Part-Time (20 hours/week):  Cabot Church is excited to expand our staff with the addition of a dedicated Administrative Assistant. This part‑time role provides essential support to the ministries of the church by helping our daily operations run smoothly and efficiently.  Key responsibilities include creating, maintaining, and managing administrative systems, coordinating communications within the church and with the wider community, handling data entry and records management, and overseeing building usage and facility rentals.  The ideal candidate will demonstrate clear communication, strong administrative skills, and confidence working with common office software and digital tools. This person will collaborate closely with the pastor and church staff to provide consistent and reliable administrative support. We warmly encourage applicants who are already part of Cabot Church or who desire to make Cabot Church their spiritual home. Intercessory Prayer Team: Is prayer a big part of your life? Do you feel that God leads you to pray on behalf of others? Prayer is essential for Jesus’ followers, and some people have been given the spiritual gift of interceding on behalf of others. If this is a calling the Lord has placed on your heart, come be a part of a new intercessory prayer team we are forming. You can speak with Marilyn, Pastor Jonathan, or call the church office for more information.

Corey’s Choice Mission Trip: You have the chance to serve others in memory of Corey Comperatore, and in honor of Jesus Christ! June 13-20, 2026. To North Carolina to help those recovering from the tropical storm and flooding earlier this year. Cost: $549, with
opportunities for fundraising to cover all or part of the cost. Pick up a flyer in the Welcome Center. Contact the church for more details. 

Pick Pay Pray: Two Mission Trips, One Fundraiser! In June, Corey’s Choice Mission Trip is going to North Carolina, and Rock Youth Mission Trip is going to Tennessee. Both will be serving people in the love of Jesus. Pick Pay Pray is one way you can support these teams. Pick any envelope with a number on it from the board in the Welcome Center. Return the envelope sealed with your monetary donation in the amount of the envelope number (cash, or check made out to Cabot Church, Memo: Mission Trip). Envelopes may be put in the offering or turned into the office. Then, most importantly, pray for both mission trips! Watch how God uses our church to bless people in those areas!

Food Bank Distribution
If you are eligible, our Food Bank distributes food the 3rd Wednesday of each month at two time-frames . Join us at either 10 am - 12pm or 4pm - 6pm.    Contact the church to see if you qualify.
