All-Church Potluck This Sunday: Let's get together for fun and fellowship to share a meal following worship this Sunday, June 7th. Breaking bread together is a great way for some collective get-to-know-you fun, whether you've been coming to the church for just a few weeks or if you're a long-time member. We'll also celebrate our mission teams (Youth to Tennessee, Adults to North Carolina), as they will leave the following weekend. Even if you don’t bring anything to share, we’d love to have you join in the celebration.

Mission Prayers: Next weekend we have two mission teams going out into the world to share Jesus’s love through the Good News and Good Works. Rock Youth are heading to Gatlinburg, TN June 14-20, and the Corey’s Choice mission trip will be in Whiteville, NC June 13-29. Please lift both teams up as they build handicap ramps, install drywall, help a local food bank, and do community outreach. Thank you for your support through fundraisers, donations, and “Pick Pay Pray.” Now is the time to lean into that commitment to Pray! Ask God to grow his kingdom, draw people to him, and fulfill his plans through their work.

The 3:16 Challenge: Take the challenge and draw closer to the Lord this summer. Simply choose one of the 3:16 verses of the Bible (list and full explanation are on sheets in the Welcome Center), set your alarm for 3:16 each day, and prepare to pray/and or act on your chosen verse when the alarm sounds. Make it a little more enjoyable and choose an accountability partner to share your experiences as you become a "Doer of the Word," not only a hearer of the Word. Sign the posterboard in the Welcome Center, let others know you’re participating, and let the challenge begin! 

Graduates: Congratulations to Rowan McClain and Samuel Fehl on their recent graduations!

Food Bank Workers: Volunteers are needed for the June Food Bank unloading the delivery, packing, and distribution. Many of our regular volunteers will be on the mission trip or out for other reasons. We are looking for help on Monday morning, the 15th, when the delivery truck arrives and is unpacked, and that evening when we pack individual bags. Then our distribution is on Wednesday the 17th. Additional people are needed for both 10:00am-12:00pm and 4:00p-6:00p. Please consider giving a helping hand to help make the load lighter as we bless the people in our community with the love of Jesus. God will bless you for the giving of your time and effort in so doing. Thank you to the many of you who so freely dedicate yourselves to this vital service. Vacation Bible School Registration: Come join us at God's Living Water Park VBS! Vacation Bible School will be four days: June 29th through July 2nd. Then on Friday, July 3rd all families are invited back for fun with inflatables and water slides. God's Living Water Park is going to be a blast, with lots of exciting hands-on activities! We will learn what true thirst is and how to never thirst again spiritually. Bring your children and grandchildren or invite neighbors and friends. Signups for those attending and for those interested in serving are in the Welcome Center or scan the QR code or visit bit.ly/CabotVBS2026 to register electronically.

VBS Donations: See the Welcome Center for a trifold with the list of items you can give to help make this a successful week for the children of our church and community.

Youth Mission: It’s not too late to support our Rock Youth for their mission trip to Tennessee! Sunday, June 7 is the last day to order delicious Marianna's hoagies and pizzas. Perfect for a quick lunch, dinner, or to stock up for later! Every purchase helps fund travel, gas, and food as our youth step out to serve and make a difference. Orders are due this weekend. You can also send a flock of flamingos to decorate someone’s yard. See info in the Welcome Center. Thank you for supporting our youth and participating in what God is doing.

Office Administrator Position: We are expanding our church office by making this a full-time position (32 hours) to support the ministries of the church. Administrative tasks include creating, maintaining, and managing systems to help the church work smoothly; communications with the church and community; data entry and management; and church building usage rentals. Necessary Skills: clear communication, administrative skills, strong comfort level working with common office computer programs and apps. This person will work closely with the pastor and other staff to provide administrative support. The preferred candidate is part of Cabot Church or will make it their church home. If you are eligible, our Food Bank distributes food the 3rd Wednesday of each month at two time-frames . Join us at either 10 am - 12pm or 4pm - 6pm.    Contact the church to see if you qualify.
